It centers around second year students during the 1990s; our protagonist Hajime, a narcissistic genius and his rival Sawatari, a beautiful girl who is another genius who beats Hajime in every single one of their exams. Unbeknownst to him, she also plays "Magic: The Gathering," a trading card game that had taken Hajime and his friends by storm. This opens an opportunity that Hajime can finally be greater than Sawatari in a game of intelligence. However, it is not the only opportunity that arises from this coincidence.
